Intercultural inclusion with migrant and refugee people though art.

Books with life is a project in which entities from Spain, Greece and Italy will share good practices in matter of inclusion through art for migrant and refugee young people.

From those experiences, we will create a guide with our common vision, analytics and  activities so each country in europe can include in their communities those youngs, with innovative methodologies.

Library of Lives is a radio programme directed by Ousmane Diaby, Volunteer in Fractals Educación Artística. A safe space from migrant people to share their stories, self empower and aware their community.

20th of June is the World Refugee Day and we want to honor it by reflecting on the actual situation on forzed migrations. In contrast with people, postcards don't find problems to arrive to their destination, crossing borders by land, air or sea.

What if we make that our ideas of encouragement for migrant people, refugees and asylum seekers cross those borders?

We want to create a global action, sending artistic postcards, that is going to be included in the Erasmus + Project Books with life about young migrant and refugee inclusion through the art.

This first meeting is based on the spanish entities Orografías: A project that involves community, art and life maps.

Orografías is a project in which people migrant and refugee and their neighbours from Valencia meet and share a time together by telling each other the great stories behind them.

For this first meeting, the spanish entities with other local entities and personalities will introduce the partners to the Spanish reality and the different methodologies that they've been working with.

"We felt free, we felt good because we felt that we were listening"

"To have advice you have to join a lot of people, without people you can not live"

"I've been through more than five countries to get here, so I feel growth"

"I see people, not where they are from or what they do>"

"We can make a difference if we work together"

For this meeting, we will share, evaluate and improve the methodology of this project so we can replicate it in every european country

We  also discuss the potential of the young people as a force of transformation in times when hate and neoliberalism are trying to demolish every form of life.

    Which are the main

    ideals for young people?

Which world do we want to create?

A project where migrant people sew together their stories into wonderful recyclated clothes and bags.
We also visited their home, the wood workshop and restoration workshop from the Foundation.

    Situation of refugees in Italy

Migrant youth from Casa Francesco, intercultural mediators and users made us clear that the most important tool of inclusion for them was the communication.
In the meeting with them we all arrived to the conclusion that Inclusion in european countries is always focused on migrant people to be adapted and not on the society to be prepared, leaving most of the work to people in vulnerable situation.
